KYB Shocks

has anyone used them on their G37 before? I need to buy 2 rears since 1 is dead. I dont do any racing or speeding or sharp turns, just 90% highway driving :-( looking for something that takes the bumps in the road well

They'll be just fine as OEM replacements. I think our OEM ones are made for Nissan by KYB.

Really nice oem replacement. Made to spec, but a bit better build quality compared to oe. I've used them mult times without any issues.

I'm thinking Tokico makes OEM for Nissan.

You may well be correct, I'm not sure. The question is, does KYB build for Tokico or does Tokico build for KYB?

Technically, the first company that sells replacement struts is the company that OEMs.

They are the ones that have the machine dies. As they were funded by Nissan ETC.

Others have to rent the dies, or spend tons of money creating one for the replacement market.

I spoke with Koni, and the strut dies for the 370Z/G37 were on loan to them. But I believe he said Tokico.

I didnt see 370Z, nor G37 Struts on the KYB catalog.
Only Infiniti Sedan and sedan AWD.

There are rear shocks for the Coupe, but no struts, as rear shocks dont need dies.

I installed a set of Tokico Blues on my .....cough........cough....2012 Yaris. (its my work DD)
They really impressed me as the OEM shocks with the TRD springs sucked big time.

At $290.00, vs TRD shocks for $500, it was a no brainer. Tokico OEMS for TRD!!

Yeah, yeah, I modded my Yaris the day after I bought it new!!

If you can spare the cash Konis are still my favorites for my G Coupe.

Never heard of them (sparktecmotorsports)
Thats the price for 1 REAR shock, whats the price for a FRONT strut?

shox.com I have used twice for other cars, see what they can do.

I've heard of Tokico HP, they are suppose to be a OE replacement shock as well, just like the KYB shock.

Are you lowered? If not I'd choose whichever between the two is cheaper.
