Thoughts on Tein S-Tech Springs?

Edit: Someone please let me know quickly if I only need one of these, or do I need two? (one for driver rear and one for passenger rear?)

Hello fellow g37 drivers!

I've had my 08 G37s for a few months now and the time has come to do my first upgrade. I've been thinking about getting drop springs this whole time, and happened to get an Amazon gift card over the holidays.

Out of curiosity, I took a look on Amazon at G37 drop springs and the only ones they had were the S Techs. I have always heard Tein was a good brand, but I just wanted you guys input on weather or not they are worth it to go ahead and drop the money on. How much is the drop, and how is the ride quality? Will I need camber kits? I will eventually get a pair of nice coilovers, but for now I do not have that kind of money!

If you guys don't recommend the Tein springs, I will probably just end up grabbing a nice radar/laser detector

Thanks!

They're a great choice if you can't afford coilovers. It goes without saying that coils are the way to go but I've owned S-techs and the ride quality was great for DD and the drop was good enough to give the car a great new look. You will need rear camber and toe. I don't recommend front camber arms because the drop isn't significant enough for it. I put 20k on my s-techs and never installed front camber...normal front tire wear.

What do you mean by rear camber and toe? Rear camber arms I am assuming, and what else? I thought toe was adjustable from the factory?

Also, what size spacers are recommended with this drop and stock 19"s? 20mm front/25mm back?

Edit: I read up a bit and found these. From what I can tell they come with the part for adjusting toe as well. If so, I'm going to order these as well.

Yes I am referring to camber arm and no stock toe does not have the adjustibility.

I wouldn't consider S-techs as a slammed look but everyone has their own perference and judgement. H&R is def slammed. S-techs are right above it...slighly more moderate.

Thanks for the input guys.

I went ahead and got the S Tech's. I believe the drop will be perfect!

I also ordered the Eibach Prokit for camber and toe adjustment (rear only.)

My next question, is what size spacers will I be needing?

I'd wait until you get the springs settled and an alignment, then you'll have the exact wheel stance for a much more accurate spacer measurement.

I've never done spacers but most guys like to do 20mm all around. Won't be perfectly flush but it'll look really good. Anything over 25mm would be over kill and that may cause you to rub on the inner liner.

I'm about to order the alignment kit, but I need to make sure I only need to order one of these for the rear. Basically does it include the left and right rear sides? Or do I need to order two set, one for the right and one for the left?

I have 20 MM spacers all around. The rear tires rub with the inner cloth(carpet feeling thing) inside of the wheel well. The front is perfect.
