Hi guys,

I have a 2008 G37s, and the front brakes 'look' pretty big lol, but I'm unsure as to where to look to check whether they're the brembos or not. I realize the stupidity of the question, but I thought someone here would be able to give me some insight.

They are Akebonos I believe which are on the same level as Brembo for the most part

All sport models come with sport brakes. They are made by Akebono (not Brembo) and they look completely different than the regular non sport brakes. If they are painted silver and have INFINITI stenciled on them, they are the sport brakes.

brembos were only available on the G35 and 350z, the akebonos are said to have better braking performance with less brake dust or so they say.

Ah, ok, thank you guys for the correction.

So with that correction out of the way, really what I was concerned with is the sizing, but I believe that is answered now as well.

Just one more point, I guess the BBKs are really only on the front, and the rears are all the same for all G models?

Sport models include 4 piston calipers in the front, 2 piston (opposing) in the rear. I believe standard is 2 piston floating caliper in the front, and single piston floating caliper in the rear. Also, 14"front/13" rear rotors.
