Question KW Variant 1 or ... ?

I just recently got my coupe and I am interested in doing some suspension modding. I noticed Tanabes are pretty popular and KW V3's is one of the best. But I only DD and do absolutely no tracking so I don't think dampening is necessary. Basically what I am looking for is a comfortable ride that can equal or be better than stock.

My options are: Tanabe Coils. KW V1 Coils. Koni Shocks + Swift.

Right now I am leaning towards the KW's V1 due to their good reviews, and it is adjustable compared to shock+spring route.

Do people not have KW V1's cause they're not that great or is it because of the price? If so, I don't mind paying more if it tops Tanabe. Leave me your insight and I would greatly appreciate it !

I rode in a g37 coupe with the kw1 and they are lot more comfortable and smoother ride compared to my tanabe coils. Can't comment on handling as I did not drive the car.

Any input on your tanabe coil overs? Would you say they're much stiffer than stock or..? I too am in the market for some coil overs and was decided on tanabes but I'm looking for a comfortable ride.

several members have tanabe coils but IMO kw you cant beat the repuation and quality product your going to get. just my 2 cents. gl with researching...the chase(research) is just as much fun as getting the coils..

One question does bother me about the KW's V1. Why is it that barely any members own them compared to other coils. Is it the price?

Maybe because most people would rather get tanabe or be racing in the sub $1000 bracket of coils.
I like my tanabe a, slightly more bumpy than stock for sure but not uncomfy IMO.
If I had to do it again I would buy kw v1 or v3

I have the V1's and I enjoy them. I have never ridden in a car with the Tanabes so I can not speak for them. Sometimes I will say I wish the V1's were just a little stiffer they are right now and at times they can feel somewhat "bouncy" but I have a feeling that may be caused by my tires which are stock goodyears and have a rather soft side wall.
