Coilover Shocks?

Does anyone know where you can just buy the coilovers without the springs because I have brand new swift springs I plan to use instead of the springs that comes with coilovers. I was thinking of just doing that so I could save money so just wondering if it was possible. Thank you.

You can call the manufacture to see if they'll sell you replacement parts (shocks).

do you have actual coilover springs, or swift springs designed to replace the oem springs and must fit oem-style shocks? if so, different answer.

Well don't jump to conclusions yet... With those you can run the Koni shocks which are purported to be quite good.

Well I am just worried it won't be low enough because I am purchasing my brother's 19 inch TE37s so if there's not enough camber it would not look right.

Do you not already have the springs installed?

What car do you have?

I have an 08 G37S Coupe. No the springs are still BNIB sitting in my garage... LOL

I was gonna install it a month or two ago before I couldn't get some bolts loose. Got an air compressor now so that should no longer be a problem.

Honestly, unless you are not happy with the ride height of the swifts (or want infinite ride height adjustability), the combination of swift springs and koni shocks is probably better than any additional $1k you would spend on coils (the price of the konis).

You'd have to pay a good chunk more to have a coil setup that compares to this suggested combo.

Make sure to get the alignment kit, too or you'll rip through your tires and lose handling performance. This is true if you lower your car by any method, so factor it into your cost no matter what.

And, just to make triple sure, please post up the part number of your springs. That way we can ensure we're not giving you terrible advice

The part number for the swift springs I bought is 4N906. So you are saying Swift/Koni combo is better performance wise than most $1k coilover systems? If that is the case I might just keep the springs.

Yep, those are what I thought. OEM style springs.

I cannot personally attest to the konis but the consensus in the industry overall is that they are among the top OEM-style shocks made. They would compare to coils available for our cars costing nearly twice as much so if you don't want to spend that much, you likely get better performance from the konis than cheap coils.
