Help me pick a quiet tire!

The factory Bridgestone Potenza RE050a seem too noisy, anyone else experience this? Interested in the Michelin Pilot Super Sports, and the Bridgestone Potenza S04 Pole Positions. Hoping these will still look good, but be more quiet. Let me know your thoughts and experiences.

The cars s a G37s coupe, so 19" wheel.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

i think just about most tires are quieter than RE050s. I have Yokohama S drive and they are pretty quiet. Conti DWS is quiet also.

I have the Pilot Super Sports - i like them a lot but I haven't found them to be a quiet tire. Reviews on the TireRack say I am wrong though.

We have Michelin Defenders on our Sienna (obviously I am not recommending the Defender for the G37) but THAT is a quiet tire.

The PSS I have on my ride are pretty quiet. Handling is top knotch...even in rain.

But $$$$ is the downfall. Awesome tire though.

Well I bought a set of Michelin super sports for $1054, and wow what a difference. I now realize that those Bridgestone Potenzas really sucked. The Michelin SS are much quieter, feel great, look great, I am happy with the purchase. I recommend these tires to anyone looking to replace the noisy factory turd tires. Plus these look sexy as hell...

I recently put a set of Mich. SS tires on my xS sedan (upgraded to 19s) and they're everything most people say about them. Great handling and grip even in the rain but they are pricy. I think they are worth the money.

If you're looking for a summer only tire the Michelin SS is top dog right now. Tread life warranty, great dry/wet, good ride, quiet, etc. Amazing buy right now. Let me know if interested!
