What's the deal with Vossen?
So I have been looking around for some good rims to put on my ride. Every quote I have been getting for vossen cv1 is anywhere from $2900-3000$ with tires. Does this sound right? For 500$-600$ more I can get work wheels or volks with tires, custom made with my own specified offsets and forged. Am I being scammed or do these cast alloy wheels really go for that much?

You are about to get a bunch of post.... But so far from what I have researched. They are very reliable and a high quality wheel. They have super great customer service from what I have read. I was able to go out with the Vossen crew when they were in town for a show. Super cool guys.
They are one of my top choices when if get new wheels.
Also yes, that seems about right for pricing.

dishing out an extra $500 would get you Work, Volks, etc (forged and wheels only)... tires would then run you to about $4,500-$5000 depending on tires for complete wheels and tires package... FYI
so that price package on the Vossens are correct...

not worth it, just save up a bit more and get lighter wheels which give you more options on wheel width and custom offset
