agreed ^^^. I have my stock shocks... got rid of the springs already. I'll sell you them for $50 shipped to your door for the front pair!. 42K when taken off
I would say it depends on how many miles and condition of the shock on the other side. I would recommend just going with a used shock and saving for a fresh set of shocks later down the road...

Bad advice...............you will never know for sure what kind of condition that used shock you put on is really in. Just buy 2 new shocks please..........
what should i get? i do not need/want coilovers and i am concerned that i should replace both on the front..
any suggestions?
If you need one, replace them all, you really notice the difference.
If you are not into high performance handling, and want something a little better than OEM, Get the Tokico Blues, they run about $80 ish per shock.
If you want performance, see my Koni review in this category.

yeah sure ideally he should replace both, but im just saying it most likely won't make a huge difference for him. we're talking about 2 poopy oem shocks here...
+1 on replacing both. Replacing a single with a new or used is a recipe for disaster. Used even at roughly same mileage does not equal the same either as you don't know what kind of road conditions they were subjected to.
