Lug nut options/opinions

Hey guys. I bought just bought a set of WedsSport SA-55M (from kosstick) and I was looking for opinions on what kind of lugs I should get for them. If you have pics, definitely post them! Should I go with extended? Open? Closed? Does open cause any issues with rusting? Color? I'll spend at most $150-200 but would rather keep it under $100 if possible.

Here are the wheels I'm getting!

I'm not a fan of open lugs, I don't like the way they allow/facilitate rust of your wheel studs. I also don't like the "unfinished" look, just a personal preference. Some of the expensive ones look cool but I can't bring myself to pay $300 for lug nuts, call me cheap.

I think just plain old black ones would look fine. Find some Muteki or something similar for $50-60 and call it a day.

Thanks BB! I wasn't sure if the open ended lugs were actually functional in any way. I'm not a fan of rust. I had black Muteki lug nuts on my last car but with all the ballers out here I thought I'd not cheap out

The open ended ones weigh a few grams less than a similar closed ended lug. A weight savings if about a half ounce each. Total weight savings on a full set is less than 10 oz. Whoopty do. It truly isn't enough weight difference to make any difference at all. Just a baller status thing.

That being said, NeoChrome or burnt Titanium ones look great with the right setup but they will set you back a few bills more than a normal set.

Don't get the open ended, I've been thinking to switch them to close ended one

Thanks for the advice! It's such a small detail but like with anything else, it the details that count. Aluminum? Steel like Mutekis? Red, black, blue gunmetal?

I will probably never use open ended lug nuts again. My car was outside in a few days of heavy rain and since my wheels are cambered in when it's parked the water went right to the wheel stud and got a bunch of nice dirty rust water on the polished wheel lips! I will def never buy cheap open ended lugs again for my 3pc wheels

Ive used the closed end Muteki's which where really nice looking and held up well, and for my new wheels coming in I'm using a set of chrome McGard spline drive with locks. Simple, classy, and work really well. They even have a washer on the bottom of the lugs so when you are tightening them they don't scrape up the lug holes on the wheel.
