Help Coilover rattle
#16
I greased the pillow ball bearings and reinstalled everything. Seems somewhat quiter but there is still a noise. This was only the passenger side though. I will try to grease the driver side this weekend. I think some of the noise is coming from somewhere else though. Possibly my sway bars. I have hotchkis sways and those haven't been greased or tightened in quite a while.

I have several noises going on. The rattling got better with the work I did, but there is still a kind of squeaking which I presume is the sway bars. Or it could just be the car, over 4 years old now and harsh OK roads I have rattles and creaks all over the place

I drive a 2nd gen G35 which makes it hard for me to find used parts for my car on G35Driver so I signed up here to find parts to make my G look and ride allot better. That said I bought a set of ARK DTP coilovers for me G35 sedan from a guy here that has a G37 coupe and At first I was very happy and I had them put on asap. Well the popping crunk noise from mostly the passenger side but every now and then the driver side too I'm wishing was not there but I can live with it because it doesn't interfer with how it preforms. The problem I have that I cant live with is that when I went to Nismo Fest in San Antonio last weekend we went on a very challenging ride in the hill country and drove my G harder then I had ever run a car before and while doing so there was from time to time a dip in the road and when I drove over them my front coilovers would bottom out and it would make a load bang noise which made me very nerves. when we stopped to stretch are legs I tightened the dampening all the way to the right clicking till it wouldn't click any more. and it still happened. No one else was having the problem and I am reaching out to any sedan owners who have ever had this problem before and could give me ideas on how to fix it.

Just installed mine and it's pretty bad, I don't know what to do about it. Super loud and clunks all the time. I'm going to email the vendor and see what we can do
