Okay, this is disconcerting. I got "chosen" for the sponsorship and sent them the payment last week. I have not received confirmation that they received payment, nor have they responded to any of my communication asking about it.

Oh damn! I got chosen as well, but it seems that lucky for me my car was in a small wreck early last week. Your experience is enough to now turn me away from doing business with them. I hope everything works out for you.

Interestingly i decided to call again and got through this time to my original sales rep. Seems everything is fine on their end and he apologized profusely for the lack of communication.

Good news! I've been getting more feedback from D2 (and Rennen) on the status. I guess they just got really busy last week. Hopefully the wheels ship today, if not early next week.
For the record, folks at D2 are very friendly and seem quite knowledgeable about their product offerings. Rennen has also been quite helpful with my inquiries.
