Falken or Michelin

I still have several Months of tread left on my OEM 050's but I'm trying to get some opinions on tires. Personally I have no complaints about the Bridgestones maybe a little noisy with the tread wearing but other than that they stick pretty well. I've been reading reviews about the new Michelin Pilot Super Sport and every body is raving about this tire nobody has anything negative to say about it. And the Falken FK452 has anybody had experience with either one of these tires? If so please give me some feedback Thanks'

The Michelin is a WAY better tire than the 452. Not even in the same category IMO and I have owned both.

Biggest factor in determining which one you decide on is price. Are you working on a budget? If not, go for the Michelins.

I have the Michelins. They are definitely worth their price. I would recommend trusting those reviews you've been reading. They have nothing bad to say because there is nothing bad to say about them. Best tires I've every owned.

What about the Bridgestone S-04 Pole Position? Aren't those supposed to be the replacement for the RE050s?

Thanks for posting this. I'm in the same boat. I hate the Bridgestones. They are way too noisy. I know the aggressive tread pattern has much to do with that but I'm hoping the Michelins are less noisy.

Michelins are less noisy than the Bridgestones but the Falkens are way MORE noisy than both.

Good. I just told the dealership to put them on, so I was hoping that they were. I can't imagine a tire noisier than the 050E, but can understand why a cheaper tire would be.

Can't wait to get my car back. Getting a 30K and new tires. Yes, I'll be bleeding money tomorrow when I go pick it up.

let us know how you like the Michelins...I just got the Primacy MXM4 in the W-rated 245-40-19 size...these are probably the nicest tires I have ever had...well worth the cost

I have some wheels over at the tire shop right now that are about to receive some brand new Michelin Pilot Sport A/S+ tires right now. They're a kick to the nuts of your wallet but well worth it. I've had the stock Bridgestones on my Sedan for 29,500 miles and I'm so happy to be going back to Michelins.

I've owned at least 5 sets on my previous G35 Coupe and I couldn't find one thing that I didn't like about them.

Tried a cheaper tire once- the Nitto NT555. I took the car back and paid to get the Michelin's.

I've been a Michelin customer for a long time because I too have experienced first hand that they are better tires. Of course the G came with the Bridgestones so no choice there.

It's funny because my motorcycle came with Bridgestones and while they were not terrible they were not good and I went back to a Michelin (2CT) for my bike as well. I've tried Dunlop, Bridgestone and Michelins on my bike and Michelins are superior. Haven't tried the Pirelli Diablo but I hear good things about them as well.

Well, don't have my car back yet but I'll post after I get it back.

Got my car back today. The Michelins are nice! Definitely quieter than the Bridgestones. It never seizes to amaze me how good new tires makes a car feel. I'll have to give another update at around 10K miles.
