Tire Rotation

Asked this question before but didn't get an answer. Do any of you guys or gals that have the sport pkg with the staggered setup rotate your tires regularly if so how from side to side and how often 5k?

My sense is that you did not get an answer because no active members with a staggered setup rotate their tires. In a way then, your question has been answered.

Interesting timing with your question...

I have the staggered set up and plan to swap the wheels (Nitto Invo's) side to side for the first time this weekend. My intention is to swap them and check the alignment every 7,000 miles or so (or every second oil change).

I also have the Invos with the staggered sport setup. They can be rotated side to side since they are not directional but I have not done it yet as I have only put about 2k miles on the car since I bought it. The INvos were on the car when I bought it so I don't know how many miles they have but I plan to rotate side to side some time this summer and also swap back and forth every 5 to 7k miles until they wear out or I buy new wheels and tires.

You didn't get an answer because it's an obvious answer. 99% of staggered setups are directional which means they don't get rotated. The manual clearly states it, but you obviously didn't think to check there

Well I guess I'm the 1% because I don't believe the Potenza's are directional..!

Directional tires can be flipped l-r by dismounting/remounting. This has the added benefit of neutralizing some camber wear.

Assymetric, non-directional usually has "outside" printed on them, which means although they can be flipped without dismounting from the wheel, camber wear will still be on the inside.

I no longer run staggered, but i do have directional tires which i rotate F-R every 5k, and L-R at the 15k mark.

The stock Potenza tires on the G37S sedan are not directional, and can be rotated side to side. See discussion in the wheels & tires forum.

If staggered and asymmetrical, best you can do is left to right while keeping them on the wheels. If staggered and directional, best you can do is left to right but you'll need to dismount the wheels/tires and have them remounted for the opposite side of the car.

This is why I just bought aftermarket wheels (which I wanted anyway) in the same size/width/offset... so I can rotate them without any issues.

Some prefer to keep them staggered... I don't. Opinions vary.
