S Sedan 18" Wheel vs. S Coup 19" size and weight differences?
I've used the search function a lot lately trying to determine if the S Coupe 19" wheels will work with the S Sedan.
I found several threads about using the Coupe wheels on an X Sedan, and most recommend using either 4 fronts or 4 rears to keep them the same. What about the S Sedan since it already has a staggered setup?
Can the S Coupe 19" wheels work as a direct swap to an S Sedan without using spacers or any other modification?
Also, what about the weight of the wheels? I assume the 19" wheels are heavier. Anyone know by how much?
Although I love the look of 19" wheels, I really wonder what the performance trade off is? Adding unsprung weight is never a good thing...
And the car already handles wonderfully, I have ZERO complaints about how the car drives.
So, is the "look" worth the performance (and probably ride) trade off?

Yeah, that is what I feared...
I really do not want to degrade the performance of the car.
I think I need to start a new thread titled... 18" Wheel Options for S Sedan!

IMHO, having gone from OEM "S" sedan rims to lightweight aftermarket 19's paired with 26 then 29lbs. tires, there's not much to notice with daily driving, and the MPG changes are minimal.
A thread of my findings, FWIW.

Very interesting, thank you for the link.
Looks like I need to find out what light weight 19" wheel options are out there.

Welcome.
Prodrive's and the Nismo A34 are fairly lightweight at about 19-21lbs. (I have the latter)
Jason (J2S2M) has his Prodrive's for sale.
https://www.myg37.com/forums/private...x8-5-22et.html, pair them up with some 245/40 Conti DW's and you've got not only a fairly lightweight set-up, but the weight is concentrated closer into the hub.

sedan wheels are 18x7.5 w/ +45 offset in the front and 18x8.5 +50 in the rear.
Tires are 225/50/18 and 245/45/18.
sport coupe is 19x8.5 +43 26.5lbs and 19x9 +45 27.5 lbs
tires are 225/45/19 and 245/40/19
They will bolt right up, and adding spacers is your choice if you want an aggressive look, but aren't necessary.
The ride height will be effected slightly with the front tires being .11 inches larger in overall diameter using the coupe 19's and the rear being only .04 inches larger diameter.
Overall its an easy, straight forward swap.
