Deviating from OEM tire size

Has anyone by chance deviated away from the OE tire size on stock wheels? I went from 225/50/18's to 225/45/18's. Unfortunately I didn't realize how much difference there was, after the fact, in sidewall length - less than an inch, just about ~.7 inches smaller in sidewall length. I'm assuming this is a safe bet, but can someone confirm? ABS issues? I unfortunately kept the rears the same OE size. My plan was to reduce the sidewall amount a bit in the front and then drop the sucker...

You will be fine...I also have a 2010 sedan. You should get a 245 for the front...it will fit.

Would be an inch shorter than the oe size. They make load but will throw the speedo off a little. Better size would be a 245/45-18.
