Rotors........
I am a proud owner of an 09 G37xS sedan and just recently had my car in for a routine oil change and tire rotation/balance. When i took my car in i told my service advisor about shaking when my car breaks and sometimes leaving a burnt smell. They checked it out and told me that my rotors need turned. The dealership quoted me $500 to do this. I just had my rotors and brake pads done at no charge to me via the TSB within the last year. I told the advisor this and she said that the Infiniti would only replace one time free of charge. So my question is should i get the 4 rotors turned, buy 4 new OEM ones, or should i get 4 new aftermarket rotors? If i go that route what brands or types should i be looking at? My car is used as an every day driver and i do not plan on taking it to the tracks. Thanks in advance!!!!!

Getting all 4 rotors turned isn't a $500 job. If you remove them and take them to a shop or auto parts store that does this, it'll cost less than $100. A brake ship will charge come for the labor if you want them to remove them for you but it shouldn't be anywhere near $500.

Might as well go with aftermarket slotted rotors, or even drilled and slotted if you like that look. You'll also need new pads as well. Stoptech and Rotora makes them for our cars. And for pads, I'd go with Project mU's.

That is my suggestion. If you're not feeling anything weird when you drive, don't do anything to them. Turning rotors is basically cutting the surface off (to make it flat), making the rotor thinner. If you were getting new pads, this could be a good idea, as new pads will have a flat surface, but if you're keeping pads, the pads aren't going to be perfectly flat, so there's no real reason to do it, especially with no symptoms.
Turning rotors is 100% labor, aka nearly all profit for the dealer.

Also not to get off of the subject but i have another question. I like reading your comments and suggestions on other topics so i value your opinion. Which radar detector do you suggest? Beltronics STI, Valentine One, Escort Redline, etc....? Thanks in advance.

It's ridiculous that they will only "fix" your problem once for free. The car is still under warranty. I'd raise a stink with Infiniti corporate. There's no way a 2009 G37 should already need a 2nd set (if I am reading correctly) of rotors turned.
They are trying to rip you off.

They actually replaced my rotors and brake pads with the TSB. My concern is that they're suggesting turning my rotors after i complained about the shaking and slight burning smell from braking.
