I'm just going off the info in this thread but, aftermarket bumpers do not have the 6 snap joints on either side? And this is the reason for the bolt necessity?
In other words, if your aftermarket bumper has the snap joints->you could shave the bolt off?

let's use the ait rear bumper for example.
THat bumper doesn't come pre drilled for the snap point but You can easily drill out the holes. The bumper is heavy and will sag so you will need to install that bolt for support
@raixincayne - Thanks for the pics by the way! I had a good feeling it was this bracket but pics always help. Correct me If Im wrong but your bracket is still factory you just trimmed the fender plastic?
Negative sir. Everything you see in my pics is completely stock. Havent touched the bracket or fender....yet. I will be shaving it down when i mount my tires/wheels.
get some touch-up paint or some touch-up clear to cover it. the bracket is steel (or whatever metal the fender is made out of). if it gets continually wet or exposed to the weather, it may rust.
