A 245/285 combo should work fine. Actually better than the 275's out back. Conti DW is a great tire for the $. Performance that of a Mich for less $. Best of the lower priced options would be the Hankook V12's.

I had Conti sport contact on my vert.
The grip on them was horrible compared with stock Potenza RE050A.
So after a month, i switched back to RE050A

On the other hand, i had Conti Premium contact 2 on my Nissan Primera P12 and this were the best tires i ever had on that car.

Mind that the grip and performance can vary on the same tyre type, depending on tyre size.

On the G37 stock sizes, the RE050A are the best in my opinion.

Bridgestone Potenza RE-11's are the best, I had them on my M3.

Yea I had them previously, they are a harder tire, so your traction wont be nearly as good as the Conti DW or the RE050A Pole Position, thats a great traction tire in the wet and dry although its a bit heavier tire the turn in response of the PP is a bit higher than others. Very close to the PS2s with a little bit cheaper. You could run a 285/30 with those, you couldnt with the DWs...thats my dilemma I'm into now

You can't go wrong with the Yoko's or Hankooks. I've had the same issues with the Conti's and RE050A's as previously mentioned.

Hankook V12 and conti DWs got really good noise customer ratings on Tirerack (8.5, 9.1), are these really noticeable compared to each other and to invo's or t1r's?

Evo V12s are great for the price and longevity but don't have as great of a grip as the oem 050s. Overall a great choice though

The 285's like a 9.5" wheel minimum, but there are people who mount them on the oem 9".
