Coilovers with softest (OEM-like) ride?

Guess I'm getting old but I'm over the harsh, buck board ride that most coilovers deliver regardless of the increased performance benefits. I need coilovers to get the stance I'm looking for with 20s but dont want the harsh ride penalty as this is my DD. I have had Teins and Megans in the past and even at their 'softest' setting they were much stiffer/harsher than OEM.

Maybe a lame question...but any one with experience with coilovers on the G37 that are as soft or comparable to OEM ride quality on their softest setting?

Thanks in advance

Tanabe Sustec are supposed to be pretty mild. I don't have them though it's just what I"ve read on here.

I have the Tanabe coilovers and they're very daily drivable. I wanted the flexibility of lowering the car without sacrificing ride quality. You can't adjust spring rebound so my recommendation, don't lower it more then 1.25" on each corner otherwise you run the risk of rubbing and no matter how much negative camber you run, you'll still rub in the front at least.

I agree with both droogie and Staples. I've got the Tanabe Sustec Coils with D2Forged 20's. I feel like it's softer than the OEM, and you should be able to adjust the ride height according to your preference. Good luck!

I'd recommend Tanabe Sustecs or Megan coilovers. Their rides are very comfortable and they will give you the stance you want.

They're definitely stiffer then OEM, not softer.

Oh those Germans make great stuff, they're just expensive. I think if someone is going to keep it on the softest setting as a daily driver, but wants a nice subtle drop there's other options out there that won't hit your wallet as hard.

BC, Megan Racing, Tanabe, K-Sport... Although KW does make 3 different versions, most people run KW-3 which are fully adjustable, but version 1 would suffice for someone looking for just ride height and they're around 11-1,200.

Get something adjustable with lower spring rates and you can make it ride however you want.

You mind sharing why? I did the same on my 370. Went from megan coils to h&r springs. Those megans rode like crap, very bouncy and stiff on full soft. Im surprised some recommend them for a 'soft' ride as the g37 suspension is very similar to 370 so I figure would have same issues on the G

Megans have a lot of adjustabilty for a good price. You can go as hard or soft as you need. I've been in a G with Megan sport coils and thought the ride was very good even with low profile tires and negative camber.
