so the general consensus is Tanabe Sustec Pro and KW V3 I guess. KWs were very popluar in the 370 scene...the Tanabes, not so much. There a bunch of positive Tanabe reviews on this forum and the price is great! May have made my choice.

Any bad experiences/negatives with the Tanabes?

The negative with Tanabe is you can't adjust rebound. So hopefully you like it that way from the factory. BC Racing are the least expensive fully adjustable coil.

Search BC coils though, plenty of writeups about the pros and cons on here.

Did the noise/rattling issue ever get resolved with the BCs? I read that long thread on it and it kinda ended without conclusion. I want to stay faraway from noise.

Like I said before, you also have the option for the KW V1 which don't adjust rebound but are a little stiffer then the Tanabe if you want a more aggressive ride.

Hopefully KW Varient 3's are the best since that is what is on the way to me. Assuming they aren't stuck in the snow someplace. I'll do (yet another) review of them once they are installed.

Forgot to add in...KW's are fully adjustable for you're softness as well. This is a huge part of the coils you purchase and the rates that you want.

Do either the tanabe or KWs come with progressive springs? Or linear?

I think the pro210 spring that comes with Tanabe is linear but it shows that the S-oC comes with helper springs. Tanabe USA Inc. - Sustec Pro S-0C Coilover

If you have any reputable coilover and set it to full soft it would probably ride like a Caddy.

Dude, you must be kidding or drunk Ive had $1k Megans to $2500 Teins and even on full soft they are always stiffer than OEM. Far from being a caddy and NEVER softer than OEM.

Megan street coilovers have an excellent ride. Yes the srpings are stiffer. But the dampening is matched to the springs and ride quality is maintained. It won't be stock of course but it won't be stiff either. Every car I have installed these coilovers on, has been comfortably firm. You can have better handling without sacrificing ride. BC makes these coilovers, and the BC coilovers are similar.

The KWs installed last Friday are as close to OEM as I could have hoped. Of course I'm coming from the Sport package so I expect a tighter ride. The whole ride is lower which is what I was going for. Ride quality is better or equal to the OEM.

Coil overs are a personal preference in terms of what you want out of them. In my opinion the KWs have proven to be what everyone here on the Form have claimed. I highly recommend them to jmlenz!
