Is Dropping your Vehicle Really Worth it?

Hey people I need your to hear your opinion on this. I about to install 20's on my car and looking to lower it also. I will be going with Eibach Pro-Kit Lowering Kit if and when I do because I've read that it's good and also good for daily driver.

My question though is whether this is worth the money. I mean I don't race my car, don't really drive aggressively but I do want a very good look. So is lowering make your car look that much different and is performance and ride improvement that much noticeable?

I just want to hear your thoughts/recommendation on this subject. Right now I will most likely do it after I shop around a bit. Also let me know where I can find a good deal on the springs online.

I should mention that my tire specs are 245/35/20 Front and 285/30/20 Rear if that makes any difference.

Thanks in advance.

the car looks like a 4x4 from the factory. dropping it is a necessity.

LOL I don't think it's that bad but I get your point! Other than it not looking like a 4x4 did you notice any issues (rubbing etc) when you dropped yours?

Yes, IMO dropping it will make it look much better and also handle better. You will lose a little bit of ride quality from the stiffer springs and shorter tire sidewalls as a compromise, but how much is subjective. Most will agree not very much at all. Do it and don't look back.

PM several of our forum vendors to see who'll give you a great deal on the springs. A number of them carry them in stock.

i have 20's with the same tire size setup and im running fairly aggressive offsets with 25 in front and 35 in the rear if that helps and the rim is a 9.5 and a 10.5

tire sizes you provided is important, but the offset of the rims is important as well in knowing about rubbing issue. But most likely, since you are gonna run eibach spring, you wont have to worry about rubbing.
And yes. dropping is must. I think it worth more.
I rather drop my car and keep the stock wheels, than get 20's without a drop

Dropping on Eibachs I think is perfect for those that aren't tuners, aren't going to go all out on there car, but want some increased looks and performance. Gets rid of the gap, so the looks are immediately better. But like BlackBetty said, you will also get some increased performance. Your car will handle noticeably better. And on Eibachs, you can still go over speed bumps without worry.

Rear: 5x4.5 +38mm offset

Front is 20x8.5 and Rear is 20x10

my Eibach Pro Kits on my G37x Coupe AWD ride like crap over the NYC bumps... I'm switching them out next year to H&R.... those handle so much better and have a better spring rate

Yes, a drop is a MUST! And the Eibachs are a great choice. Ride quality is similar to the stock sport springs.
