Anyone lowered on HR springs?

Are these quality springs compared to eibach etc.? I got offered a pair for a hundred bucks.

How did your ride quality change and are you pleased with your decision to use HR springs?

Thanks

PS ran a search but not much came up.

Those are currently the lowest springs available for the G37 so be careful!! Lots of scraping could be possible!!

BlackG37Coupe, looks like you already decided to get Eibachs due to your FI exhaust. Regardless I can give you some feedback about H&R's, Haji is on the money those are the lowest springs for the G, the ride is quality is more stiff than Eibachs (which i had prior on getting H&R) I won't say the ride quality is super bad but from a scale 1-10 10 being the best these are around 7 for me. One thing is for sure since the drop is so extreme, driving the car becomes an adventure if you have to go somewhere you havent before to avoid bottoming out etc dont know if you want to put up with that. When i had my stock wheels I never scrapped ever, now that I have CV-1 with smaller sidewalls I tend to rub slightly due to the front under cover sitting too low but is no biggie sounds worst than what it is.
About the exhaust, I have Tanabe Medallion I have never scrapped mines sits pretty high I believe your FI exhaust will be the same (Dont know for sure) If bottimg out your exhaust is your only issue, it should be ok if you get H&R's. Take in consideration, if the G is your only car H&R's may not be the springs for you because the car will be slammed which can cause a problem when it comes to drive the car into garages, speed bumps, bad roads Notorious here in MD etc.
After everything I mentioned above I still love how my G looks with H&R drop, sure turns heads all the time

Hope this helps, GL

Thanks alot for all the detailed feedback man. Sounds like H&Rs will be too low since it is my daily driver and I will be driving in baltimore often and parking in garages etc. I dont think i want the hassle of worrying about scraping all the time.

Where in MD are you located?

I had H&R's for about 5k miles. Let me just tell you this: save up and get good coilovers. I didn't do that and I regret wasting money.

The ride was pretty harsh, you have to avoid EVERY bump and pothole. You'll likely get stuck or scrape the hell out of your underbody over most speedbumps. You WILL scrape your bumper on driveways/small dips.

I scraped my front spring perch on some crappy roads (never scraped my Tanabe exhaust thankfully). I got pains in my gut on unknown roads because I was worried about those slabs of concrete that you cant really see until its too late. It hurts when you feel that "thud" and dont know what you scraped.

BUT... it looked freaking awesome. The stance was perfect (on 19's) and I just stared at the car all day.

Here's the reason I went back to Eibach: a slightly more acceptable ride and 20's. When I got my new wheels (+35, +37 on 20x9.5 and 20x10.5) I scraped all the way home, front and back tires were scrubbing the fender lining and it was just horrible. If I stretched the tires and changed the camber a bit I might have been OK but I wasn't happy with the stiff ride.

I went back to Eibach and cut the rear spring mounts to even out the ride (the back on Eibachs has more wheelgap than the front, it pissed me off). Now I have an even ride with about a finger gap on all 4 sides (you cant notice this when the car is rolling).

H&R's look cool, but are too low and impractical for most people. GET COILOVERS AND DO IT RIGHT!

i have H&Rs and i love them. yeah its slammed but it looks dope. i only scrape two things, thats the bottom plastic shield which still scraped at stock height and my mid pipe when i go over a huge speed bump, which is still very rare.
its all up to you and what you deem important.

btw, im on stock wheels too so being that low with stock wheels isn't that much of an issue. theres a whole lot of rubber...
