getting a slow leak fixed

Is there any issue with having the TPMS and getting a tire plugged? It should be simple and removing the tire, plugging it and putting it back on right?

A tire plug or patch doesn't affect TPMS. Just don't use any of the liquid tire goop like Fix a Flat.

Patch doesn't affect TPMS. I've had one of my stock tires patched before from a bolt. If you're unlucky, it could jab at the TPMS and damage it. Just remind the guy that works on your tire that you have TPMS when the removes the tire from the wheel.

Thanks for the tip Danny, I definitely told them. I'm all squared away by the folks at discount tire.
