Take the dash apart and yank the light.

The light that goes off for the TPMS (!)...does it go off for anything else for our car or is it only for TPMS?

According to the manual the light is for TPMS only. Apparently the feds who wrote the TPMS law specifically included a mandate that the light must remain on if the sensors are removed or are not working. They did on purpose, sort of to encourage getting the system to work again and to remind drivers that tire pressures are not being monitored.

Now putting aside that according to the law it’s now illegal to eliminate the light, I’m sure by design that it will be quite difficult to do so. It may be cheaper and less labor intensive to just install the sensors or purchase rims that are compatible with TPMS rather than to take a dash apart to turn off this one, small light.

Nah, it's really easy to defeat the warning light. It's just a matter of applying ground to one wire. Do that and BINGO!-- no more warning light.

Yeah for once I am going to side with Captain Safety. I would not remove or burn out the light. I would either install the sensors or deal with the light being on.

Is there a fuse for the light that we could just disconnect?
