who drives around with no TPMS on their aftermarket wheels?

As discussed in past threads, you’re ignoring those incidents described by other members where the tire pressure loss was sudden, usually caused by a nail or some other road object. In such cases you can check your tire pressures every time you get into your car for that matter, and you still wouldn’t know a few minutes later you could have a problem for which immediate action is warranted.

like Chekov said, it doesn't really matter how long you've gone w/o issues, it only matters the one time it DOES happen

I remember in my 350z I put brand new toyos and was on the freeway and the light came on and b4 I new it I was on the side of the road !!! Def felt it though , would be wise to have this I know and hope to not run into problems but keeping my fingers crossed ! Infiniti put it there for a reason and as of now I don't have them cause I sold but will eventually but I keep switching wheels and I can get these reprogrammed each time ... I here If you reinstall tpms in same side/wheel that light stays off! Any comment on this?

I'm running OEM sensors in aftermarket wheels.

We had more blowouts from underinflated tires where some people lost their lives, including those hapless souls who died ten years ago in those Ford SUV blowout-rollovers that prompted the current TPMS requirement in the first place.
As stated before, I started driving in the fifties when we had no seat belts, airbags, padded dashes, collapsing steering columns, turn signals (it was a dealer installed option in the early fifties), dual brake lines, etc. What did we do without all those things? Besides those few drivers bothering to open their window to give hand turn signs, we killed ourselves on the highways at a much higher rate than today.
