Investigation of a Nismo 370z Brake Failure

OT.
Lets just go by the numbers. I see more 240's and GT-R's at the track than I do 350Z's. In fact, I see more 240/260/280z's at the track than I do 350z's. I wonder why that is, given you can get a 350z into full track form for under 20k easily.
Also, you can't possibly be telling me that a CT-R isn't a no-compromise car because of its drivetrain layout. The current CT-R is quicker around many tracks than a base model s2k.
You're local. You've tracked. What would it cost to get a Z to lap BW 13CW under 2:00? What about a Nismo 370z? How much would it cost?
Back on topic, because you keep veering off of the original topic: Brakes. The Akebonos were intended to be a mass marketed part, similar to the FM platform. As such, the system is compromised.

2. When did I mention a CT-R? You're talking about the Ruff CT-R? I'm confused.
3. Cost for a regular 03 base 350Z to run below 2:00 at BW? a damn good driver, weight reduction, really sticky rubber, and a suspension set up tweaked by God. lol. i know what you're getting at...but I'm sure there are slower cars that don't get anywhere NEAR that time that you yourself still consider a good track car. Why would the Z be any different?
4. Again...like the article said. It's NOT the hardware...it's venting for the brakes.
Just to be clear I'm not really hating on the S2k. I've personally seen what they can do on a track and I've driven in these cars and they are fun as hell. I do understand the loyalty of these owners because they really do drive like a dream (i have yet to be in a car that shifts like an S2k...even the NSX doesn't feel as good). I just don't like the elitist vibe that come with some owners, regardless of what brand their touting.
