hey guys n gals. i have rims coming in soon and am in the process of ordering tires. the rim sizes i am getting are 20X9.5 +35R for the front and 20X10.5 +37O for the rear. i am dropped on the eibach pro kit. my connect at the shop suggested that i go with tire sizes: 245/35/20 + 275/30/20. he said it will be slightly stretched (the look im NOT going for). someone suggested i go with 255/35/20 + 285/30/20. i really want to go with the 255 and 285, but dont want to risk major rubbing and all that mess. someone also suggested that i trim off some of the rear bumper/fender bracket since that is where most of the rubbing occurs. can someone show me where that is if its no convenience? i did mention all this on my rim thread and did get a lot of good info from it, but i decided to make a fresh thread so that more peeps can gimme their input. thanks in advance everyone. ETA for the rims are the end of this month.

depending on ur negative camber it may or may not rub. I'm guessing the rears will rub occasionally with 285 rears. the 245 and 275 IMO aren't even that stretched.

if u like the meaty tire look, then maybe it might look stretched to you. I've seen so many 255's on a 10.5 wheel so to me 275's don't look stretched anymore haha.

I'm dropped on eibach and how the same wheel specs as you(volk gt30) currently running 245/275 still plenty of room. You won't have a problem with rubbing, maybe if you're car is really loaded. I will be going with 255/285 next time.

thanks for the help fellas. im def going with the 255/35 and the 285/30. now i just need to know what tires to get. right now im leaning towards the falken 452. did some research and found a lot of mixed reviews...anyone care to comment on them?

Go 255/30 for the front, stick with 30's all around, a 35 series tire looks awful IMO.

I have those exact sizes of tires and my wheels are almost the exact same offset too. You won't rub in the front at all. Rubbing in the rear depends on what your rear camber setting is and which tires you get. I rubbed some when I first put those sizes on but I have coilovers and I am lower than your Eibachs. I trimmed the rear fender bracket (wish i wouldn't have). Some tires profile is more "square" and some are more "rounded". Hankook Ventus Evo is a more square tire, Sumitomo HTR ZIII is more rounded and less prone to rubbing.

As far as tires, I haven't had the Falken 452 on the G but I have friends who have or had them on the G and they don't really care much for them. The Yoko S Drives, Sumitomo HTR Z III, or Hankook Ventus are all available in those sizes and are good tires.

wassup J. thanks for the input. what are the cons with trimming the rear fender bracket?
