Coilover Advice
I am in the market for a set of nice street coilovers. This car is my daily driver and I drive about 60 miles a day so I really stress comfort. I used to have a dropped STi and while it looked cool and handled great my body would take a beating during long drives. I don't really know what's out there so any help is appreciated and price isn't that important but would like to keep it under 2k.

I can say that if you're looking for a soft and comfortable ride tanabe is good. i have them.
ive played around a bit and realized that if ur dumped suspension gets bouncier but if ur higher up theres less bounce.
overall comfort is there i guess i just like the ride to be stiffer. tanabe doesn't have dampening adjustment as opposed to other coils, but tanabe is also one of the cheapest coil options as well

Not everyone needs dampening adjustment, some just want to adjust ride height and have stock comfort and improved handling.
They're quality for what they do, and for most people it fits the bill.
If I wasn't tracking my G soon I'd still have mine.

Idk, personally for around the same price id rather get BCs and have 30-way dampening adjustable, whether i need it or not at least the option is there. At least you can set it to the way youre comfortable and thats it. With tanabes youre stuck with what its at and thats it. If you want it stiffer or softer too bad. And i have heard that when you adjust the height of the tanabes the ride gets bouncier.

Personally I never had a bouncy-ride issue w/ Tanabe's but have heard nothing good about BC coils. I'm sure there is truth in both our statements Stoof, at the end of the day it's up to the end user. I think Tanabe's are the perfect street coils.
