wider tires?

wider tires?
I had a question. Would wider tires mean better ride comfort since there is more meat on the tires? I thought the more meat tires have the less vibrations would be heard? Any theories?

I think the wider the tire then the more handling because it has more grip on the ground. More meat also does mean better ride comfort if it's more meat as in thick but I don't think we can run thick and wide tires without rubbing. No clue, hopefully the wheel gurus chime in but it's the weekend so I doubt anyone soon

Wider tires have a larger contact patch and a shorter (and usually stiffer) sidewall. These factors increase cornering ability but create a harsher less comfortable ride. Worse ride comfort, not better.

if you want more comfort, you should get adjustable coilovers, and crank them down to 'buick.' Unless you buy 70r truck tires, tires aren't going to do anything meaningful to the ride. It's mostly in the suspension.

+1. There isn't a tire tall enough to make a ride diff but will also fit without rubbing.

Hope you're right
I just put Yokohama ADVAN sport 245/40/19 XLs s on front and 275/35/19s XLs on rear. I really like the stock wheel designs so didn't want to change those.
The car looks very nice and drives very well. It's too early to compare other aspects but this is an awesome looking tire. I also have the Tanabe NF210 springs so overall ride comfort is the same as the stock Potenzas when those were new.
