I have never bought wheels for weight performance.

I always just get whatever looks good on the car

Thanks for the bump Mike.

Yea..I'm still looking. I try to be practical. I'm looking to stick with 18's. The tires that came on the X are fine. I'm NOT driving autoX around every corner. The grip is fine for me.

If the X 18" sport rims really are 30lbs, then dropping to 18ish lbs should be a nice uptick in performance. That would be an elimination of 48lbs of roatational mass.

Anyone else weight a stock 09 Xs rim? (I know the sport RWD and 6MT has larger rear wheels so I'm looking for the narrower rim).

Sometimes lightEST is not always the best. There are a lot of lightweight wheels out there that would bend. I also would agree with forged > cast.

To the guy that said 19 x 10.5 CE28 weighs 17 lbs. Did you shave 3 lbs out of your wheels or something? Because from my sources, and the internet, it seems that the CE28N in that size is more around 21 lbs.

well my offsets are not listed on that site. but i weighed the wheel alone right before i shipped them and the rears 10.5 were just under 17.lbs. **** boxed up with the lugs/center caps and everything they only weighed in at 21.2. and that was at ups on their shipped scales. dont think they were wrong. and i doubt 20 lugs, adapters, center caps all weighed in at 1.2 lbs.

All the Rotas weigh about 3-5 lbs heavier per wheel than their high quality cast or forged competition.

I think that weight, per corner, is not THAT light.

UNV-IT46: What offset did you have?
