installed my GTSpec Strut bar finally

pretty easy except for the 3rd bolt closest to the firewall of the car which you cant fit a socket over because its too close to the support bracket of the SB but after a little work with a wrench i tightened it up. The front end seems a bit more stable, heading into NYC today so ill test it out on the LI expressway

The spec bar still rubs against the hood lining. You can only put a clearbra on the bar to prevent stratches on the bar itself.

What are you talking about? I don't even have a G.

But yeah, the engine cover can be lowered a couple mm by modifying the rubber/metal isolators. I believe it can be lowered a little bit more even by switching out the foam on the underside of the cover to a little thinner or less dense foam. I have not tried to do that yet but I did already look at it as an option because after modding the grommets (I called them isolators earlier) now the cover sits on the foam more and the foam is actually pushing it up.

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead.....but I was wondering how your bar has held up over the past few months since you installed it? I just ordered mine from Andy at HPA. Do I need to try and find some clearbra material to protect the bar from scratches? Or is your's scratch-free?
