What tires are you running on OEM 19' rims?

My OEM Performance tires are getting to a point where I'll need to replace them soon. Like many other people on this forum, I think the stockers are a bit too skinny and don't look right on the car or the rim. So, for those of you out there with 19' Sport wheels, what kinds of tires are you running?

I have 255/35 front and 275/30 rear on stock 19's. They fit fine. 285 will fit the stock rears but I didn't get them because the Yoko S Drives I wanted were out if stock at the time. Yokohama S Drives are treat tires. Also, 255/35 & 285/30 are the best plus 0 sizes closest to OEM diameter/circumference to maintain suspension geometry and speedometer/odometer accuracy.

I would love to go all the way to 255/285!! Is your G dropped at all, or stock suspension? I'm currently having Eibach Pro Kit springs installed; so I'm concerned that 255 fronts will rub. For that matter, 285 rears might rub. How is the noise with all that rubber?

Significantly quieter than OEM tires. Dropped on Tanabe NF210 which is a very similar to the Eibach Pro Kit. No rub at all front or rear, not even close. I even checked while I had 4 full sized adults in the car. Close in the rear with all that weight, but no rub with 275. After double checking on the 285 width, the guideline is for 9.5"-11" wheels and ours are only 9" wide, but I bet they'd work and fit safely.

Do it!

I just found this awesome link in another thread!
http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

It looks like the closest I can get to spec while increasing my width is 275/35-19 on the rears and 255/40-19 on the fronts. That keeps me within 3% of spec. Now I just have to find all-season tires that come in those sizes....

The Vredesteins are great tires- I will be purchasing those when my OEM's are shot.

If money wasn't an issue, I'd personally rock a set of PS2s on the stock 19s, 245/275 in sizes.

You sir, are correct regarding the fronts. The rears however is a 4.6% difference in 275 and only 3.7% in 285.

My mistake is that the widths I listed are only .1% and .2% different size in 20" diameters, not 19" my bad. Hope I didn't screw anyone up. I gots dubz on the brain.
