TPMS Replacement cost?

I had a weird accident yestarday in my 08 G37 which claimed one of my TPMS's and my right rear tire. I think I hit a man hole cover and it peirced my sidewall and took a chunk out of my wheel... I had replaced my OE 245/40/19's with 275/35/19 RFT's so was able to limp home and today pulled the wheel and took it to the dealer to temporarily put my old OE 245's back on so I can get around while I wait for a replacement RFT (no one in my area keeps them in stock so I get to wait 7 days).... yeah I know, I feel sort of like a dumb@$$ for getting such expensive and hard to find tires, but was worth the peice of mind yestarday when I could drive the car how and stick it in the garage versus leaving it on the street waiting for a tow.

My question is what should I expect to pay to have the Sensor in one wheel replaced? The dealer qouted me $227 with labor... but when I looked up the part number in my service manual and the labor (1hour) the part I can get online for $77. Assuming my part number I have is correct (Part # 40700 -JK00B). Is there any programing or calibration required that would prevent me from ordering the part elsewhere and having it installed.Or is it a dealership only proposition? I am going to ask the dealership if I get the part how much they will charge to install for kicks when I pickup my wheel today. It would be nice if it was a plug and play buit I doubt it.

Anyone with experience on this?

40700-jk00b is the right number. they are over 100 from the dealer though probably

the dealer will have to pair the new sensor with the car, not sure how much they charge for that, but i need to find that out myself. put my new wheels on and put new sensors in them

you can get the part, install it on the wheel yourself, have the tire mounted / balanced, then have the dealership pair it with the car

where did you find the sensor for $77? i got lucky and found a set of 3 on ebay for about 50 bucks, then got the other from revolution supply, and i think is was around 95 from them

I found the part at Infinti-parts.com for $79 and the dealer said they'd charge me one hour shop time to install, plus the 410 to mount and balance the tire, so will probably go that route
