What is your opinion on toyo proxes 4

I have bf goodrich now but need to go down in tire wide so I am looking at Toyo Proxes 4 for new tires because they are half price of what I paid for my BFG kdw 2,s.
Looking for feedback.

You get what you pay for. Look for a tire with a decent treadwear rating ie. 300+ to maximize tire life. PS2's are around ~230 I believe.

Go to the Car and Driver review below what they think, "C&D decided against evaluating the popular all-season tires in favor of an examination of 11 high-performance ones" C&D

http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/..._tread_feature

They tested 11 tires:
Featured in This Comparo
BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KD
Bridgestone Potenza RE050A (This is our stock tire)
Continental ContiSportContact 2
Dunlop SP Sport Maxx
Goodyear Eagle F1
Hankook Ventus R-S2 Z212
Kumho Ecsta MX
Michelin Pilot Sport PS2
Pirelli P Zero Rosso Asimmetrico
Toyo Proxes T1R
Yokohama Advan Neova AD07

Good info good to know the PS2's are 4th that is what i will run. I bet they would have ranked higher if the price was lower like what i pay for them. Just a quick not on treadwear #'s tire companies can pretty much do what they want here the gouverment does not test these results. Most are pretty reliable though.

Does anyone know anything about the new Yokohama S.Drive, if we go on the "you get what you pay for" mind set, they must not be so good
245/35ZR20=$150ea
275/30ZR20=$170ea
Maybe a good drift tire?

never knew 20's were good for drifting..shouldnt the tire sizes be like 245/40/20f and 275/35/20r, specs for the g37. never heard of yokohama tires before, its probably true with this one. get some falkens 452's. around 600-700 a set.

Yeah 20” probably would not be good for drifting. I only used that size as reference because that is what Sharif recommends for the 20” I’m waiting on now. The drifting comment was based solely on how low price is, it seems like they would burn tires up quick and inexpensive tires would be good for at least learning until you got your tire sponsor. I have no idea what is used for drifting. I know Yokohama has been a top off road racing tire for quite some time, not sure how long they have been in the road scene.
