Big problems with H&R springs and 20s
Went to check out my car at dealership today.
Went with 20s all the way around wrapped in 255 35 20 bfg tires and it looks great but no one wanted to drive it because of how low it sat.
The rims and tire are same ride height as stock except they are wider and now that it is slammmed they will rub if I hit the smallest bump. On the rear inside wheelwell there is a sharp metal crease where the back quarterpanel meets back bumper.
On the front when you turn the wheel it has about 1/8 inch clearance between frontquarter and top of wheel which would bend the front fender or pop tire if I hit a bump while turning.
The H&R springs says they drop front 1.2 and rear 1.0 it was more like 2.0 and 1.8 drop instead and the car has not been driven so it may settle a 1/8 inch lower still. (I dont understand how that happens)
I cant find anyone who make a mild drop that are out yet.
It is either smaller tires so they are not as wide and tall or find springs that do not drop car so low.
Please anyone that knows about this or has had simillar problem could you help.

mine fit and haven't rubbed yet.. but i went with a 245 falken fk452 tire, the falken tires have more of a curved edge than some others, giving you more clearance..

and I cut that metal in the back that didn't need to be there, but left the part where it actually bolts together
and actually I think if you look on their site, it says more like average 1.5 front, average 1.4 rear

They were made by OZ Racing for this car.
They are 20 x 8.5 all the way around.
I am not sure what the offset is but they fit great before I lowered it.
Even box syas 1.2 front 1.0 rear.
I called and talked to tirerack about them before I ordered them and steve looked it up also.
Maybe I got the wrong spring in the box I think they make 2 ride heights

cut rear metal piece stay with those in rear
Go 225 30 20 in front
stock front tires are 27 diameter 8.9 width 4 section height
225 30 20 is 25.3 diameter 8.9 width 2.7 section height
that may help the problem but not much rubber on the front
kerley
that would also leave me with a spare set of rear tires which isnt bad
what do you think
