Loose wheel after curb crash
Hey guys, this is my first post on these forums, I need some help. I have a 2010 infiniti g37x sedan, & I hit a curb pretty hard with my front passenger wheel. The wheel is now wobbling, & it sounds like something is broken. I知 not in any way mechanically inclined, so I figured I値l ask for help here. I have replaced the wheel & rim & it still feels the same. I値l post some clips of how it looks and sounds after I took off the wheel. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Well it looks like your wheel bearing is bad.
Also have you tried rotating it from the CV axle itself?
Push it in and out as well to see how much play you have.
Open up your hood and see if you have any structural damage around where your struts bolt on to the car.look for bending are maybe cracks around the bolts (look closely )looks like you may have more than one issue.

Thanks for the help, I will try to take a closer look tomorrow. As for the wheel bearing, would you say I have to replace it for sure?

From the first vid I would say yes for sure you need wheel bearing replaced.
But then again I dont know how bad the impact was and if there is other damage that occurred.
I would have to say that the inner tie rod is the weakest point and that may be bent as well.
Not sure what you are wanting to spend .either that a chance and replace a few parts and hope that's it or just replace mostly everything.
Best thing I recommend is like I said and look for damage around the strut bolts and for cracks on the suspension components.Spindle, knuckle ect.and if everything look good just replace a few parts

When I知 shaking the caliper how I did in the second clip, the bottom half of the knuckle seems to wiggle, the top half doesn稚 move at all. Is the bottom half just wiggling because I知 shaking the caliper? Or is it not supposed to move at all?

There should not be any wiggle, anywhere.
It will be virtually impossible for anyone to properly diagnose what may be damaged without physically looking at problem. There are a ton of moving parts involved that need to be inspected and possibly repaired/ replaced:
If it were me I would have a trusted mechanic take a look at the car and go from there.
By NO means am I trying to discourage you from being a DIY'er, but unless you know what you are doing, any mistakes or errors can have serious, and potentially fatal, repercussions. Just my 10「.
