G37x Coupe Akebono BBK Upgrade
Hello all,
I am new to the thread but love the info I have received from some of your threads. I recently upgraded my wheels to 19x8.5 45mm offset in front and was wondering if a 5mm spacer will clear the calipers as that is what the front wheel template suggested. I have read though that a 38mm offset is the lowest you can go for clearance. Can anyone confirm this for me? If I have to go 10mm spacers or more, I will need extended studs. Sorry if this is not in the right section.

I'll leave this thread here since it's your first post, check the brake/wheel folder for more in that topic.
Depends what wheel you choose and the spacing available behind the spokes. The template leaves a little "wiggle room" so might get buy w/ something as thin as a 3mm.
Hard to say until you actually get the BBK installed though. If the template shows it clearing w/ 5mm, then that 5mm spacer will work, just need to be 100% sure that template is printed to scale and fitting properly in the wheel.

Thanks for being so kind! I should have posted it int he original topic thread. These are the wheels I have https://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Whee...lar=Base+Model
I now found that the OEM specs for the Sport front wheels are 43mm offset so I'm 2mm off but then you add a +5 spacer leaving 3mm of possible clearance. Spokes are curved in which is the more limiting factor as you mentioned. The template was definitely printed to scale as my guy used the index in the bottom corner because I printed it out wrong originally lol Really appreciate the advice and hope it works out!
