Swift Springs eating up my new tires
My car has been shaking alot these days and I have fixed/replaced almost everything.
- New Rotors/pads
- New whees/Tires
- 2 x alignments
- Missing engine oil filter splash shield under the car (trying to figure out the solution)
After reading few threads, I went to a shop where they have road force balance machines and ask them for tire balancing for my tires.
The mechanic inspected my front tires and told me that the front tires are not even inside. (DWS 06 245/40/19 on coupe sport 19")
The tires are only a month old..
I mean I was aware of this due to negative camber specs but man, this was quick!
I guess I'm going to have to save up for SPC front/rear camber kits..
I'm currently waiting on my car to finish up from the balancing.

I'm running Eibachs which are an even lower drop, and surprisingly I have really not seen any bad / abnormally fast wear, i hardly even see any camber wear. I have gone about 4,000 miles since lowering the car and the tires were put on a few days after the car was lowered.
Seems to me like your alignment is off. I had to go to 3 shops before it was finally done right.
And the mechanic telling you they can't balance your wheel due to spacers is just lying, or an idiot. Spacers literally have nothing to do with balancing your wheel....

That doesn't make sense. Plenty of people have Swifts and are within factory alignment specs, without camber kits. Either your shocks are shot and/or this mechanic doesn't know what he's doing with the alignment.

Maybe I'm driving too roughly...

Factory alignment specs? That is not true.. camber should be off from the factory spec with swift springs. (G37X)

Update 2: they didn't know the spacer had its own studs on them. Apparently they are not usppose to work on the car with a regular spacers.. (I'm at discounted tire store where I got my new tires)
They are doing the balancing now.

I actually just got 30k miles on my tires on swift springs and no camber kit with my RWD sedan with two alignments since i got the tires. My toe was in spec most of the time with about negative 1.7 camber. Now I need replacements
