Lowering my 08G 35

So, I am not entirely sure which site to post this to, I have the oddball 2008 G35 sedan with the VQ35HR motor and the G37 body... but regardless I am looking to lower it. I have done some research on the site and have narrowed it down to Eibach, H&R and Tien. I am really only looking for about an inch to an inch and a half drop, as I plan on putting spacers on as well. What are your suggestions? If you have experience with lowered cars, what unexpected issues should I expect?

Thanks!

If all you want is a mild drop stay away from H&R and Tein, unless you're looking at Tein H Techs (the S Techs are a deep drop spring). Eibachs would probably be your best bet, but for only a couple hundred more you might consider Tein Basis Z coilovers, they are under $500 shipped and you can get the height exactly where you want. That's what I would do.

I had eyeballed the Tien coilovers but tbh I strayed away from them because of the cost... Other coilovers were somewhere in the $900-$1,000 range so I thought they might have been not so good.

There's quite a few that run them over here. The newest version (Basis Z) has replaced the previous Basis coilover. The newest version has shocks that are sealed and not serviceable, this has resulted in a nice price reduction and should result in the same performance. This would be a better option than springs on OEM dampers. Another option is springs on Koni dampers but the price gets quite a bit higher than the Teins.

Swift springs are exactly what you're looking for.

Or you could swap stock 350Z springs in. There's a forum member who did it here with 0 noticeable change in ride comfort. I slammed mine with 350Z eibach springs, so 350Z springs are always an option and sometimes you can get a set for free.

I'm lowered on Eibach pro kit for AWD and I have no issues. Total cost was 575 for installation and springs. I bought 20mm Ichiba spacers at the same time and those were 225. I would go for the Tein basis CO's if I were you then just get spacers later when you have the funds. I wish I had gotten CO's to begin with.
