Warped front rotors.. $140 to machine them. Should I just buy new sets?

That's a better deal than the dealership but if you can remove the rotors yourself you should be able to get someone to do it for no more than $40 for both

Was this the same dealership that you had that spoiler fiasco with? If so, I think I'd get a second opinion. I'd try to scrub your rotors first and see if the vibration goes away or at least gets better. Just do 6 hard slow downs from 60mph to 10 while never coming to a complete stop. That should tell you if the problem is the rotors or just uneven pad deposits.
If it does turn out to be rotors, just get new Centric Premium rotors, they have better venting and rust prevention over OEM.

If you're looking for affordable Rotors try these out. I use them for my wife's G. Pretty fantastic all around.

Rear Trunk Spiler
Rear driver side Window clicking noise:
- When window is closed, you can hear a clicking noise on the road.
- I can push the window from the inside or open the window a little to mute the noise.
- 3rd attempt to fix.
Steering wheel noise
- Video Available.
- Squeezing noise when turning (you can hear it well when the car is not moving.
Brake noise
- Sometimes I can hear a clicking noise when I'm breaking in low speed
Possible cv boots worn
- Front Driver side axel was replaced recently by Infiniti warranty.
- The grease from cv boot smell is still noticeable from the front driver side wheel.
(Bad)Squeaking noise on the road from front side.
- Every time there is a bump or uneven road such as packing deck, you can hear the squeaking noise from the front side. The noise sounds pretty bad when you can hear it.
- This has been happening since the axel was replaced by Infiniti.
- You can't really hear it when window is closed. You can hear it very well in surrounded place like parking deck. But you can still hear it just when the windows are down.
- Straight road like a highway, you won't hear the noise.
A/C Compressor noise
- When I use AC, I hear the A/C compressor kicking in, however it does not sound right. It sounds like it is grinding. Might need compressor replaced.
- Sounds like radio without signal.

OP - why are we even talking about slotted/drilled/BBK brake setups? just either get yourself a set of premium OE blank rotors (such as the Centric Premiums) or get your factory rotors machined as a reasonable price (

I'd suggest getting new ones rather than resurfacing. I tried resurfacing twice (two different cars) and it was a fail each time. Not only that, but i actually found out the new ones cost less lol..
Just find a set of new Centrics. RockAuto usually has the cheapest price from what i've seen.
I've seen the Centrics literally as cheap as $40 each (i haven't looked for the G though)
On mine i have drilled / slotted... cause, well... it looks cool

I think i had them resurfaced at pep boys, don't know how much they removed. Didn't replace the pads since they still had lots of meat on them.
It was a fail because i still had vibration under hard braking. It went away after i just bought brand new rotors and installed those.

That could be the issue right there. I work at a dealership and when we get a customer complaining of vibration during braking, or the car is due for brake pad replacement we always resurface and put new pads.
We don't ever get any come backs for the same issue.
The only time we replace rotors is if the car cane from up north and the rotors are extremely rusted, or there is a huge lip in the rotors which can easily be seen and felt.

Anyone recommend a well priced but OEM quality drilled and/or slotted rotor that is bigger in diameter than the Akebono rotor for our sedans? I'm sticking with OEM calipers, just want a bit better look on the rotor side of things. car won't ever be tracked and I don't drive too aggressive.
