Brake Pad Manufacture

Hello, I have a 2009 Infiniti G-37 Coupe Journey, and will be replacing my brake pads. The dealer wants $231.08 just for the pads front and rear. They won't tell me who manufactures them just saying Infiniti. Does anyone know the exact brand that was OEM for my vehicle, as I want to go back with what was on my car when it was new. Thanks, Walt

Edit: Posters below say OEM pads are Akebono . I believe they are only available through Infiniti due to manufacturer deals and such legal nonsense.

What I can tell you is that the Dealer is essentially telling you to bend over and spread your cheeks as wide as possible. I just bought pads AND rotors from RockAuto for $285. They are Centric premium rotors and posi-quiet pads which is basically identical if not slightly better than stock. If you're going to be buying new pads do yourself a favor and buy them elsewhere.

Other popular brake pads are made by Hawk, Akebono, StopTech, and many others make great OEM like pads if you want to shop around.

RockAuto has great prices as well as many other site vendors.

I would just buy Hawk 5.0 and be done.. They will outperform the stock pads all day. That being said YES, the Akebono OEM pads are ceramic.
