2003-2005 350Z OEm springs on a 2008 G35 sedan
Hey guys. I've been lurking here for a while learning things about my 2008 G35. I got some OEM 03-05 350z coupe springs a while back off Ebay for $60 shipped for the set. Not sure if these would even fit because i haven't seen anything about these springs on the 07+sedans I was hesitant to install. Well with the motivation from my buddy 35Sport i went ahead and installed them. I am very pleased with the results and highly recommend them if you want a drop but don't want coil overs or want to alter the cars ride and just want a mild drop like I did. The rear has a 1 finger gap and the front has a 2 finger gap. Camber arms and some spacers will help out back there also. But the ride quality has not changed at all. I only noticed it corners flat now but its not harsh or anything. I just felt the need to pass on the my finding to my G buddy's. Here's some pictures of 03-05 OEM 350z coupe springs on my 2008 Sedan. And not lowering springs just the stock 350z springs.
This is a before just showing how my car sat originally.
And the following is how the car sits now.
Next on the list are Camber arms for the rear and some spacers all around and a Lip.

I knew they'd work since I had the eibach 350Z springs on mine. Surprised at how well it worked out though. Most Z guys will give away their old springs.

I did notice you posted in both and wondered why you allow both threads to remain.
My apologies to bdub08.
And here are the stock 350Z and G35 spring rates.

I must assume the early V36 rates are higher as listed in the RWD Sedan Coil-over sticky.

Probably so yes but I don't think its that big of a difference to effect it in my situation. I cant tell any difference driving it really at all. It feels and rides just as it did before. Maybe because my car is a Journey and not the Sport maybe? Not sure if its a difference in the suspension Journey vs Sport. I do love how flat it corners now.

3,598 lbs
V36 pre facelift
3,628 lb
I wouldn't call 30lbs enough of a difference to matter.

I thought the question being asked was about a 370z springs on a G37. Not sure why you quoted a convertible, as they are VERY heavy due to the extra bracing needed to stop them from folding up.
The 2016 370Z is just over 3300 lbs and the G37 is around 3700 lbs.
That is a 400 lb difference!

back when i had my '04 6MT G35 sedan this 'Z spring mod' was very popular with the myg35 forum. tons of guys did it with great results. i had used springs off an '06 350Z and absolutely loved the handling and the ride height. if only i could have gotten the same results with the eibach prokit - which turned out to be too low for practical use in my area.
when i came over to myg37 i was, and still am, surprised with the low number of guys who have done the same mod using 370Z springs. i had thought there was some incompatibility issue.

I decided to post up pics after the springs have settled on the G for 9 months now with no issues still. I have 15MM Spacers all around as well.
