Hello guys, I wanted to ask all you G37s sedan drivers 2 questions?
1. Are the g37s sway bars the same as the g37 journey's?
2. Is there a big difference in handling between the g37s sways and aftermarkets?
I'm looking for some eibach since I have the eibach lowering springs but I'm open to other options.
If any one is selling some in socal I'm interested let me know.

Yes. Shocks are different, but sways are the same.

I only have a Journey but can say aftermarket sway bars helped alot with my car.

Yes. The only thing that could be an issue with used sways is the finish will be scuffed up (whoopeedoo ) Be sure to get the frame bushings that come with the sways. And buy some pre-lube grease for the install.

Of course, new sways are inexpensive to begin with... relatively speaking to things like coil-overs or rims or an exhaust.

I installed my Hotchkis sways a couple weeks ago and really love them so far, corners at speed are lots of fun. really easy install too. some good info over in BB's DIY thread.

 

I've got Hotchkiss sways on the firmest setting. Night and day difference from stock and it's the way the car should have come from the factory.

In what way are the shocks different? I have a 2011XS Sedan what oem shocks do I have? Are they good? Or worse than standard G37 Sedan?

 

Valving is stiffer.

An xS Sedan has only one part number per side available for replacement, ie; E6110JK50D and E6111JK50D. When researching all this I noticed they are the same price, roughly $200 per side, as the non-sport coupe strut. The sport struts are listed at $250. This tells me the xS sedan did not receive any special underpinnings.

 

The Sport Package on the AWD (xS) is appearance only. AFAIK, you have the same shocks as the Journey non-Sport and the G37x.
