An xS Sedan has only one part number per side available for replacement, ie; E6110JK50D and E6111JK50D. When researching all this I noticed they are the same price, roughly $200 per side, as the non-sport coupe strut. The sport struts are listed at $250. This tells me the xS sedan did not receive any special underpinnings.

I'm at 65K miles....surely that's a maintenance necessity now to change out the shocks

I don't think thw RWD S front shocks fit the awd. I believe the front driveshaft stuff changes how the shocks mount.
