Vibrant G37 Non-Sport Brake Paint Options
Hey guys,
As the title says, I have a vibrant red g37 sedan, non sport.
I will be upgrading the brakes/rims/suspension later down the road to something sexy but for now I wanted to play with some color options for the stock calipers.
Any thoughts of what color goes well with the vibrant red? i've tried ford red and that makes it look orange when comparing.
I like burnt copper so that's a nice choice but was wondering what other?
(Yes, some people hate the panting of stock calipers but I'm bored and want a quick cheap and simple mod done, this is perfect for a bored weekend).
Thanks
Reggie

I've got a Garnet Ember G (red) and I went with a metallic red caliper paint. I tossed and turned abt the color and didn't find anything that I liked as much as the red. Only comment I get is asking whether I used the stock paint color. I guess it matches that well!
I also don't think that painting the non-S brakes look bad at all. It adds some visual ooomph to me and 99% of people don't even look at it anyway!

I believe it was VHT for the red. I used another paint for the metallic flake. Picked up both at Autozone.
I wish I could show pics (long story- but broken collar bone and couldn't drive home), but I had to leave the car at my beach house over Labor Day. The red was a typical flat red paint before I added the metallic flake to it. Looks good though!

No worries Rochester. No- mine is not that bright fire engine red. Plus I think the metallic flake and S duck feet rims dull the impact.
I debated the color choice a ton...even sought input from the folks here. I felt that black/silver were too "blah" and that the smaller brakes were only an inch smaller so I didn't feel like the BBK were all that much bigger. Easy for me to say when I'm sporting the smaller ones!!
Thanks for the wishes on the collar bone. A vicious injury- 11 days since injury and it still feels like a knife is sticking out from my shoulder. And that's on double dose percocet. Plus it screwed up my 70.3 ironman race. That's probably the worst part!
