help lowering xs sedan

Hello everyone, I'll be getting a 2011-2013 g37xs sedan soon.. being a true car guy. I wanna lower it on either shock and springs or 1 pc. It just seems that everything I'm finding says excluding awd. Wtf. Anyone here with an awd sedan lowered please let me know where I can find camber kits front and rear, toe kits. Coilover, shocks, springs. Ect.

Or just let me know if the parts for the rwd sedan and awd sedan are the same. Thanks in advance

Welcome to the site, the AWDs are indeed a different beast when finding lowering parts. For springs Swift is the most common, mild drop but retains decent comfort. Coilovers, the newly released Fortune 500s are getting good reviews. SPC makes the camber/toe kits you'll need.

Here's the complete SPC kit
Combo Packages 2 Rear Camber Arms w/ Toe Bolts + 2 Front Adjustable A-Arms (Complete set for whole car front and rear) INFINITI G37
AFAIK only 3 lowering springs are available for the AWDs~Swift, Eibach, and Tanabe. Eibach & Tanabe list only coupes but I believe others have used the coupe springs for the sedan but would have to search for that one.
Swift seems to be the only spring SPECIFIC for the AWD
Swift Springs USA
As far as aftermarket shocks your out of luck, nobody makes them. I believe the OEM shocks are Tokico, my 09 OEMs were.

I wouldn't use coupe springs on a sedan they both weight different and would have completely different spring rates. If the non awd sedan springs fit I'd go that way. .

There's not much difference in Sedan/Coupe weight and spring rates, there's been quite a few that have done it w/out issue. Look at Tanabes' website, they use the same part # for the RWD Sedan & coupe, http://www.tanabe-usa.com/nf210.asp?id=2
Also virtually all Infiniti G37 coilovers are one part# for both Sedan & coupe.
FWIW the coupe springs used on sedans tend to result in a deeper drop, although the coupes weigh about 100 lbs more, go figure???

The AWD springs are different lengths in the front as the front AWD struts are completely different, I believe the rears are the same though.

I have a 2011 g37xs and I'm lowered on eibach springs.

There was 3 kits that could've been used but I ended up going with one recommend by a vendor.

Kit 1 is for the rwd sedan
Kit 2 is for the awd coupe
Kit 3 is for the awd g25/35

my xs sedan is lowered on swift springs, 70k mile oem shocks, and SPC camber f&r.

I personally think it's a bit on the stiff side, but that might be my shocks being worn and/or not up to the stiffer spring rates. It's not bouncy, which I always assumed was the primary symptom of blown shocks.

I regret not replacing with fresh OEM shocks or stepping up to coil overs when I did springs.

also as discussed in another recent thread, this isn't a simple case of $300 for springs and call it a day.

I added my 1" lowering mod up to over $2000cad, including the installs (paid cash at reduced rate) and alignments. plus I need new tires because I didn't get alignment done quick enough

No complaints as far as ride quality from me. Best bet is to search the forum and see what springs provide the drop you are looking for in terms of ride height.

I just put the eibach springs and 20in vossens on my 11 xS. The ride is average now unless you hit a good bump in the road which will result in a bounce. Since im still on stock struts, im gonna try changing them to tokico ones or smth and see how it fairs out.

AFAIK there's no aftermarket struts for the AWDs, my OEM RWD shocks/struts are Tokico, maybe KYB makes some for the AWD but these are probably OEM equivalent. Really is a shame there's not much for you AWD guys, even the RWD applications are severely limited.
