E-brake light on dash lights up under hard acceleration
Not every time, but on a regular basis, when I floor it the light comes on. It's been happening since the day I got it and it's always bothered me. What could be causing this? My only theory is that the g-force is somehow pulling ever so slightly on the peddle/cable, causing the light to come on for a few seconds.
Once or twice I've almost pushed the e-brake peddle because I thought it was stuck on. Anyone else know anything about this?

Just remember low brake fluid is a good indication that your brake pads may be running low and may need to be replaced soon. You can top it off for now but might want to get the pads checked/replaced eventually.

Thanks everyone, I'll check that brake fluid right away. Can anyone tell me why having low brake fluid would cause my e-brake light (!) to come on under hard acceleration? Doesn't really make sense to me..

When you accelerate hard with low brake fluid, the fluid shifts in the reservoir tank triggering the low fluid light i guess?

In absence of a defect or leak, low brake fluid happens when the pads are worn fairly low. They probably need to be changed and the fluid flushed.

That's exactly it. That's the reason why it happens under hard acceleration, braking, or long hard turns. The sloshing of the fluid level makes the sensor read that the reservoir is low or empty.
