Eibach: Front 1.2/Rear 0.8
Tein: Front 2.1/Rear 1.9

Eibach will cost you more than Tein by the way.

 

It depends on how low you want to drop the car. Is that tein s-tech?

 

If you're comparing the two be sure to compare the Tein H Techs not the S Techs, the S Techs, along w/ H&R are the deepest drop lowering springs. H Techs, Eibach, Swift & Tanabe are similar "milder" drop springs w/ Tanabe being the mildest I believe.

The Eibachs are a progressive wound spring and the Teins are linear FWIW.

 

Yes this is the S-tech. But my concern is more to the quality of driving compare to Eibach and Swift as other threat pointed out.


I like the drop ratio from Tein but don't know the quality and not sure if I would have to change my camber kit. I know for sure Eibach doesn't need to have camber kit changed as other threat pointed out.

Eibach doesn't need a camber kit to get close to within spec. If you want factory alignment specs you will still need the kits. I feel like Tein S Tech (on most cars) leaves them with a sagging in the rear look.

I have Tein S techs and like them.

 

Tein. I had Tein H Tech's before switching to Accuair and they ride great and lower it a lot for springs.

 

I bought the car with S-tech's and hate them. The drop *looks* kind of cool, but its so low my stock exhaust is scraped up like crazy and the ride feels like it'll break the car in half at times. I'll be switching to eibach soon. Used those springs on the last couple cars I've owned and always liked them for being subtle and the legit lifetime warranty.

 

Does anyone scrape alot on eibachs? I've had one of my previous car slammed really low and i said never again will I lower a car that much. But my g37s coupe is just like the SUV i had. Too much body roll and a tad too high in my opinion. I know eibachs give a mild drop, but does that sacrifice everyday drivability? my house is on top of a hill (steep driveway) and I often run into speed bumps around the city. I do mainly commuting around the city during the week and then mostly highway driving during the weekends. I just do not want to have an impractical daily car again.

 

I had Eibachs installed on my 13G37S sedan this past weekend, and the fronts are within spec on alignment, but the rears are .2 out of spec. Running currently on factory 18s.

My CV7 20s will be delivered next week, so I'll go through another alignment then.

 

Are the drop rates different between the coupe and the sedan? i just want something to cover up a bit of that wheel gap.

 

I have Tein S Tech on my coupe with factory 19" I love the drop so far no scraping and the ride I not much different from the factory springs. There is very little sag in the the back not so crazy. I did make it the alignment rack so that's a good thing.

 

I have used Eibach before...quality product. I know the drop numbers don't seem like much but its actually a little more noticeable drop than stated. When I get around to lowering the coupe I am going with these. I have heard from other people I know that have used Tein and they have said that they sag too much once they are settled...just a thought
