Improve Handling without Lowering

I have a 2010 G37xS Sedan. I want to improve the handling on the car without lowering the car. I recently purchased the Sport Rear Sway Bar.
What else do you guys recommend to improve handling.
Any input is appreciated.

Thanks

Sell the Sport RSB and buy some Hotchkis Sways, front and rear.

Upgrade your tires.

Coilovers.

FSTB

^ +1. upgrade to aftermarket sways (eibach, hotchkis, cusco, etc...) and go with a dedicated summer performance tire. these two moves will go a long way to give you what you are after. all for a little over $1k.

if required, get a second set of tires/wheels for winters if you live in a colder area.

More like a little over $1500, all things considered... but yeah, canucklehead here gets it.

The FSTB is a real, genuine suspension mod, but it's also relatively minor, and some people don't even bother, writing it off as pure engine bling. Which in of itself isn't a bad reason.

Nice thing about the FSTB is that it's as dirt-simple a DIY mod as they come. So a lot of people start here when modding their cars.

Makes absolutely zero difference, both are good. It's a personal preference thing, because it's just a FSTB.

Remove the hood liner. Problem solved.

Rochester is a "cut-the-Gordian-knot" kind of guy.

Good tires. I put Michelin Pilot Super Sports on my G37xS and it made a pretty noticeable difference. It this wasn't a lease and I was keeping it longer and frankly if i gave a sh** i would do front and rear sway bays. They make a BIG difference. I had them on my 08 Sport and they really tightened that car up. Almost too much which is why I removed them. But I have a feeling on a X, it would put the car in that perfect medium to handle the way it should (and trust me, I could write a book on how much I feel Infiniti shorted the AWD owners from a proper sports sedan...)

F&R sway bars and sticky summer rubber like Michelin PSS. If that's not enough then start with other mods. But those two are by far the two most effective ways to improve your handling.

I agree 100 percent. After I put a set of Hotchkis sways on my xS sedan I was truly surprised how much flatter the car took turns, and after putting on the set of Mich SS tires next I couldn't have been happier with the new found grip of my car. The best first upgrades you can make in my opinion.

Noob question alert...so does the 2012 G37x Coupe I just bought need some f/b sway bars??

I read somewhere on here to buy the Journey sways because they are cheaper...

And what is a FSTB?

Thanks for laughing out loud while you answer

oh, thank you! I'll have to check to see if sway bars have been installed.

Your car HAS sway bars. They should properly be called *anti*-sway bars, but most people simply refer to them as sway bars. They are simply metal bars that have known flex properties. They connect your driver and passenger side wheels and reduce body roll in a turn. The people above are advising OP to install *aftermarket* anti-sway bars. These are bigger (stiffer) and fight the car's tendency to roll towards the outside when taking an aggressive turn.

Hotchkis, Stillen, and Eibach are the favorites for aftermarket anti-sway bars.

Not all cars have rear sways. But this was still funny.
