This has been discussed before, they xS coupes don't have the faster ratio steering.

OP--why don't you see if the Journey and X have the same steering rack p/n? If the Journey rack is the same as the X rack, I would think it would fit

I am looking forward to hearing more about your findings. I'd love to add the quicker steering ratio to my X. It would truly be a much more fun car.

Should fit. The steering geometry between S and xS aren't different.

The ATTESA computer might bug out with the angle sensor on the steering wheel and trying to interpret the desired yaw though...

There is some wrong information floating around on xS Coupes, to the point I am not positive which is correct. One story goes like this:

xS Sedan - "Sport Appearance" only, missing the handling suspension, quick-ratio steering, aluminum sub-frame, VLSD, Akibono brakes, etc. We know this to be correct.

xS Coupe - has most of the sport pieces, functional as well as cosmetic. No VLSD.

That counters what Rockford posted. I've now seen official-appearing documentation saying both ways. Guess we could go over and ask someone on the Coupe section who has an xS.
S sedan has an aluminum sub-frame and the rest not? Really?
I must have been seeing things when I lifted my Journey by the sub-frame when I did my brakes.

well after looking into it turns out the steering rack for the awd and rear wheel drives are different and are not plug in play compatible it simply wont work... the rwd rack wont fit for the awd steering rack...

also i can get any answer of what even makes the sport ratio the 141 if its the computer or the rack itself i cant figure out what piece or part for sure makes the sport tuned steering possible... ive called several dealers and no one has any answer for me whatsoever....

The ratio is a mechanical thing. There's no computer involved.
The variable assist is driven by intake manifold vacuum.

The computer is tuned in anticipation of the steering rack though, for yaw control. Changing the ratio will likely make the computer go bonkers.

What did you check that showed you the racks wont physically fit? I'd be interested to know as well.
